Land forces: 15 000 people, 6 military zones, 8 brigades (6 infantry, SAS, artillery), 1 armoured cavalry regiment, 8 infantry battalions, 1 detached battalion for protection of the president, 2 engineers, 1 detached battalion of special forces, the group of special operations (1 airborne battalion, 1 marine battalion, 1 special force company).

Arms: 10 armoured reconnaissance vehicles, 48 armored troop carriers, 78 105 mm towed howitzers, 360 81 and 120 mm mortars, 420 recoilless guns, 40 20 mm antiaircraft guns.

Air force: 1 100 people (including air defence), 23 war-planes, 21 combat helicopters. Planes and helicopters: 9 A-37B, 2 AC-47, 5 C-47, C-123K, DC-6B, Commander, Marlin-3B, 5 Rally, 2 Cessna 210, 6 CM-170, T-410, 6 TH-300, Hughs 500, 21 UH-1.

Naval forces: 700 people, 5 patrol boats, 3 storm-boats, 23 river patrol boats, 1 marine company (90 people).
