Land forces: 11 500 thousand, 8 military districts (1 infantry battalio in each), 7 detached battalions (1 airborne, 1 engineers, 5 infantry), 1 artillery battalion, 1 anti-aircraft artillery battalion. Presidential guard: armoured cavalry and protection battalions, 3 infantry companies.

Arms: 21 armoured reconnaissance vehicles, 14 heavy infantry fighting vehicle, 33 armored troop carriers, 54 75, 105 and 130 mm towed guns, 20 MLRS BM-21, antitank missile systems Milan, 53 recoilless guns (57 and 106 mm), 54 antiaircraft guns.
